St. Mary's General Hospital

At St. Mary’s General Hospital, I worked closely with the Patient Services team, collaborating across medical, surgical, administrative, decision support, finance, and strategic planning departments. My primary focus was supporting the expansion of the hospital’s cardiac and pulmonary services to meet growing community needs.

In addition to service expansion, I contributed to operational initiatives aimed at increasing the hospital’s surgical capacity — with a focus on reducing wait times for high-demand procedures such as cataract surgeries and hip and knee replacements. Working alongside clinical and administrative leadership, I helped identify system bottlenecks, optimize patient flow, and support resource planning to enhance surgical throughput without compromising patient care quality.

This project demonstrated the power of cross-functional collaboration in driving health system improvements, particularly in high-pressure environments where patient outcomes and timely access to care are critical.
